Van-mounted machines are the “gold standard” in the carpet cleaning industry due to their superior power, temperature control and suction abilities. While there is a wide range in quality across the portable machines on the market, if your technician is using a van-mounted machine you can be sure that it is a powerful piece of commercial machinery and your technician is well equiped to do the best possible job!

These machines connect to your outside water tap, require very little set up time and use their own power source (not yours) to quickly heat the water and pump out the desired amount of hot water and steam. This means that our technicians can clean your carpets thoroughly in less time than if they were using a portable machine, and we can clean your carpets even if you have no power at the address.

However, van-mounts aren’t suitable for every situation. We do require a safe, flat area to park our vans right outside the address and access to an outside water source in order to use our van-mounted machines. If this is not possible, we can still provide a thorough clean with our top-of-the-line portable machines but this may take slightly longer and will require access to power.

There is a wide range in the quality of portable carpet cleaning machines available on the market ranging from small, residential-type units to large, industrial carpet cleaning machines. Our portable machines are among the most powerful on the market and even have the capacity to extract flood water or clean tile and grout. They heat their own water and our technicians can easily adjust machine pressure to achieve the best possible pressure for your type and style of carpet, or reduce the pressure to clean more delicate items such as upholstery and specialty rugs.

Unlike our van-mounted machines, we do need to connect to your power source and fill the machines with water, so we do need power at the address and it can take our technician a little longer when cleaning your carpet with a portable machine. However, these machines allow us to thoroughly clean carpets where it is not possible to use the van-mounted machines, such as apartments or where access is difficult.
