Our restoration technicians can help decontaminate and disinfect compromised properties and mitigate the risks associated with harmful microorganisms including:
Soft Furnishings
Soft furnishings, including your carpets and upholstery act as a kind of environmental filter as they trap and hold onto contaminants. This makes these items a high risk for cross-contamination, especially where these items are high touchpoints such as upholstery arms, so it is essential that any decontamination clean includes professional cleaning and sanitising of your carpets and upholstery.
Touchpoints
Hazardous micro-organisms are easily transferred through touch. Therefore it is important to identify areas that are frequently touched, also known as touch points, and to disinfect these areas/items as part of the decontamination process. We can work with you to identify the touchpoints in your home or workplace and then to disinfect these with a hospital-grade disinfectant.
Fogging
Fogging is a technique used to disperse a liquid into the atmosphere and onto targeted surfaces by turning the liquid into a “fog” that disperses fine particulates of the product into the targeted area. In the case of bacteria or viruses, we use an EPA registered disinfectant and this allows us to quickly and efficiently disinfect an entire area including all surfaces and the atmosphere in a very small amount of time.
Air-scrubbers
The use of air-scrubbers is also common in decontamination. Air scrubbers draw in air and pass it through very fine filters which trap air-borne contaminants, effectively “scrubbing” and cleaning the atmosphere of potentially harmful pathogens.
